Information We Collect

Analytics is disabled unless the owner explicitly configures a supported account/site. Google Analytics also requires your opt-in consent before its script loads or analytics cookies are set. Installation alone does not prove that the owner’s account receives data. Listing/enquiry forms are disabled until the owner confirms destination ownership, receipt testing, and privacy/retention responsibility.

How We Use Your Information

When enabled, forms collect the displayed service details, name/email and enquiry text for the owner’s review. Do not submit private health information. Admin sign-in uses a secure session cookie; the directory does not need your location permission.

Third-Party Services

Map tiles are supplied by OpenStreetMap tile servers. A postcode you choose to search is sent server-side to Postcodes.io to resolve the area; we do not store postcode searches in the listing database or send them to analytics. Hosting/provider request logs may still contain request URLs; no claim is made that such historic logs can be erased everywhere. Formspree receives submitted form values only if explicitly enabled. Optional Plausible page analytics excludes map, admin and enquiry pages; names, free text, sensitive health information and full searches are not instrumented.

Google Analytics and Your Cookie Choice

If configured and you accept, Google Analytics measures only our home page, blog index and legal pages. It is not loaded on individual articles, service listings, support/category/location pages, maps, admin pages, forms or pages with search parameters or URL fragments. We send a general page label and a URL without search parameters or fragments, with no referring-page URL. We do not send your postcode, enquiry text, health details or contact-link clicks. Advertising storage, advertising personalisation and Google signals are disabled; the owner must also disable Enhanced Measurement in Google Analytics.

Google may receive cookie identifiers, IP addresses and browser/device information, and may process data outside the UK. Analytics cookies and your local browser consent choice last up to 180 days. Rejecting does not prevent use of the directory. You can use “Analytics cookie settings” in the footer to change your choice; withdrawal stops future collection and removes accessible Google Analytics cookies, but does not erase data already received by Google. Browsers sending a Global Privacy Control signal are not tracked. Read Google’s privacy policy for its processing practices. The owner remains responsible for the account’s retention, access and privacy-request handling.

Your Rights

Ask the owner to review or remove information you supplied. An owner contact/rights-request route still needs to be configured; the listing form is not currently a guaranteed working privacy contact route.
